TRENTON, N.J.—The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey, honored four insurance professionals at its annual conference, held June 8-10, at The Hard Rock in Atlantic City, N.J.
Professional Agent of the Year was awarded to Mandy Adams Moreland, AIS, AU, CPIA. Moreland is commercial lines team leader for Acrisure of New Jersey, located in Colonia, N.J. This award is given to a professional, independent agent who has demonstrated excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service; has shown a personal commitment to professionalism; and has contributed to PIA and the community.
Company Person of the Year was awarded to Tim Byrne Sr. Byrne is chief operating officer for Great Bay Insurance Co. in W. Atlantic City. This award is given to individuals who foster a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplify a commitment to professionalism and service.
Distinguished Insurance Service was presented to Steve Tague, CPIA. This award is presented to the individual in the insurance industry who has a history of significant contributions and support to the regional insurance community. Recently, Tague retired from PIANJ’s board of directors, having served the association for more than 20 years, and as president in 2013-14.
Director of the Year was presented to Christopher Powell. Powell is a partner with Hardenbergh Insurance Group in Marlton, N.J. The award recognizes the hard work and dedication of a member of the association’s board of directors who has contributed remarkable time and talent to help support the association and its many programs.
“These individuals are respected and outstanding insurance professionals. Their commitment to PIANJ is to be applauded,” said Andrew Harris Jr., CIC, AAI, CISR, outgoing president of PIANJ. “These awards from PIANJ commemorate their dedication and hard work.”
