TRENTON, N.J.—Andrew C. Harris Jr., CIC, AAI, CISR, was elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey at the association’s annual business meeting on June 2, 2024. Harris is president of Liberty Insurance Associates in Millstone Township, N.J.

Active in PIANJ, Harris served as president-elect of the association in 2023-24. Currently, he is vice president of the Special Olympics Golf and Legislative/Regulatory committees. He also is a member of the Nominations, Executive/Budget & Finance committees. Harris also is a member of the Carrier Partnership. He also serves on the advisory council for Renaissance Alliance and is on the carrier advisory councils for Selective Insurance and Plymouth Rock.

Harris received the PIA National Agent of the Year award in 2020. This honor is given to individuals based on their contributions to their agency, their education and experience, their contributions to the American Agency System and their involvement in community affairs, as well as their performance as an industry spokesperson. He also received PIANJ’s Agent of the Year award in 2019. This award is given to a professional, independent agent who has demonstrated excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service; has shown a personal commitment to professionalism; and has contributed to PIA and the community.

In his community, Harris is vice chair for the IEP Youth Services and is a board member of the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce.

The association also elected a full slate of officers during the annual business meeting. Following are the new officers who will lead PIANJ in 2024-25:

• President: Andrew Harris Jr., CIC, AAI, CISR, of Jackson, N.J. Harris is president of Liberty Insurance Associates Inc., in Millstone Township, N.J.
• President-elect: Roger Butler, CIC, of Cinnaminson, N.J. Butler is sales and vice president of the Barclay Group in Riverton, N.J.
• Vice president: Beth Frederickson, CPIA, of Fairfield, N.J. Frederickson is principal of Voluntary Risk Managers in Fairfield.
• Vice president: Aaron Levine, CIC, of Long Branch, N.J. Levine is member agent for LG Insurance Agency in W. Long Branch, N.J.
• Treasurer: Lisa Hamm, CIC, of New Providence, N.J. Hamm is president and owner of Clyde Paul Agency in Summit, N.J.
• Secretary: Michael Beckerman, CPCU, of Millington, N.J. Beckerman is partner for Acrisure of New Jersey.
• Immediate past President: Connie Mahoney of Westfield, N.J. Mahoney is agency manager for Mark Anthony Associates in Mountainside, N.J.
