LONG ISLAND, N.Y.—Sean Ramalho, received the Professional Insurance Agent of New York’s Executive of the Year award at its 2022 Long Island RAP on April 27, 2022, in Woodbury, N.Y.

The Long Island RAP Executive of the Year award recognizes an individual from an insurance company, a general agency or a managing general agency who has demonstrated a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who has exemplified a commitment to professionalism and service.

Ramalho has 28 years of property/casualty experience with the most recent 16 years of it with Travelers. Ramalho is senior vice president–Strategic Execution Office where he is accountable for Travelers agent & broker initiatives such as digital work intake, agency compensation, and overall quality and effectiveness of relationships with all distribution partners.

Prior to this role, Ramalho served as the business insurance field vice president for Metro NY/NJ, at which he was responsible for $1.4 billion in written premium. His prior roles also include middle market vice president, regional president, and select regional vice president all in the Metro NY/NJ Region. Ramalho also serves as an executive board member for the Travelers Foundation, as well as a board member of The Hole in the Wall Gang Foundation, which recognizes Travelers as its largest corporate donor.
