ALBANY, N.Y.— Tim Dean, CIC, CRM, president & CEO of Marshall & Sterling Enterprises, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York at a meeting of the association’s board of directors today, at PIANY’s headquarters in Glenmont, N.Y.
An active member of PIANY, Dean served as president-elect in 2020-21; first vice president in 2019-20 and vice president in 2017-2019. He is chairperson of the Carrier Relations/Industry Affairs Committee and a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance, Nominations and Agency Operations Committees. Dean also is a member of the Finance sub-committee and the Hudson Valley Advisory Council.
An active member of his community, Dean serves as a chairman of the board for Vassar Brothers Hospital and also chairs the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency/Local Development Corp. board. He also is a board member of the Hudson Valley Patterns for Progress.
In 2017, Dean received PIANY’s Community Service award which recognizes individuals
who demonstrate a significant commitment to the improvement of his or her community.
