Join PIANJ’s E&O and hard market panel

October 23, 2024

In today’s challenging insurance landscape, managing errors-and-omissions risk is crucial. The hard market has brought with it unprecedented operational challenges—from staffing shortages, to shifting carrier appetites—and insurance agents must adapt quickly to avoid costly mistakes. But, how can you stay ahead of the curve and safeguard your agency?

To tackle these pressing issues, PIANJ is bringing together industry experts for an in-depth panel discussion: The Perfect E&O Storm: Tips for the Hard Market. This session is part of PIANJ’s Deep Dive Series, which explores strategies to help agencies thrive—even in today’s volatile environment. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

Market conditions & operational challenges

The hard market is pushing agents to their limits, with increased workloads and unpredictable carrier appetites. Our panelists will share their real-world strategies for handling the workload without sacrificing quality. Whether it’s managing staffing shortages or balancing client expectations amid rate increases, you’ll gain insights on how to protect your agency from E&O risks.

Human resources & remote work

As remote work becomes the norm, many agents struggle to maintain operational consistency and reduce E&O risks. We’ll dive into the best practices for managing remote teams and leveraging digital tools to ensure that quality standards don’t slip.

Leveraging technology & cybersecurity

Artificial intelligence-based tools and other digital solutions are transforming how agents operate, but they also present new risks. Our panel will explore how to use technology to enhance efficiency while minimizing E&O exposure. Plus, we’ll discuss crucial steps to protect client data when working with third-party vendors.

Client communication & legal considerations

Effective client communication is key to avoiding E&O claims, but it’s a delicate balance. Overload clients with too much information, and they might miss critical updates. Provide too little, and you risk legal trouble. Our panelists will share techniques for communicating clearly with clients about policy changes, premium increases and coverage adjustments—all while managing their rising sensitivity to costs.

Why you can’t miss this panel

With so much on the line, this panel is a must-attend event for insurance agents, brokers and agency leaders looking to safeguard their businesses. You’ll hear directly from industry experts who are on the front lines of the hard market, navigating the same challenges you face every day. Walk away with actionable insights that you can implement immediately to reduce E&O exposure and keep your agency thriving.
